The Situation

An idea, and nothing built around it yet.

Tomica came to the first consultation with an idea: a mobile notary business. There was no company yet. No prices, no policies, no way for a client to find her or book her. What she had was the decision to do it.

That first conversation was an assessment. What would it take to get her to a first client, and what had to exist before that could happen? The answer was most of a business. So the whole path got mapped in that first meeting, in order, so she could see every step before taking the first one.

The Work

What we built, in order.

01Discovery: a first consultation that worked as an assessment. What she wanted to build, what a first client would require, and where a new mobile notary could carve out its place in the Atlanta market.
02Solution design: the whole path mapped in five phases before any of it was built, with monthly targets for bookings, income, and reviews as the success measures.
03Build: brand identity with a color palette, a type system, a primary logo, and a secondary seal mark. A complete fee structure covering services, travel zones, and after-hours and urgent requests, with deposit, cancellation, and no-show policies that protect a solo operator’s time.
04Implementation support: guided the founder through LLC registration, an EIN, business banking, and notary insurance, then payments, online booking, client intake, invoices and receipts, and a travel log.
05Close-out and sustainment: a Google Business Profile, a plan for early reviews, outreach to local professionals, and a first-90-days plan she runs herself.
Outcomes

From idea to operating company.

6 weeks

from the first consultation to a branded, priced, and operating business.

5 phases

in one plan, mapped in the first meeting: legal setup, operations, visibility, documents, and the first 90 days.

Still open

UrbanSeal Notary Co. is in operation today, run by its founder.

In Her Words
“Dr. Vance was really able to take an idea of what I wanted and bring it to life and into operation. He advised me on areas I hadn’t considered, from structure to how to carve out my niche for my small business. From our first meeting, he mapped out how the whole process was going to be and answered all questions I had, even when I changed my mind, and he was able to be flexible to help me make my idea come to fruition.”
Tomica · Founder, UrbanSeal Notary Co.
What Held

When she changed her mind, the plan held.

Founders change their minds. That is part of building something. Because the whole path was mapped in the first meeting, a change of direction meant adjusting a step. The rest of the plan stayed standing.

Tomica runs UrbanSeal without us. That was the goal from the first conversation.

Begin

If you are holding an idea that needs a structure around it.

Every engagement starts the same way: a conversation about what you are actually dealing with, and an honest answer about whether ClearMinds is the right fit.
